There is a large group of people living in the world who would change their current life if given the opportunity. Sara Livingston is not one of these people. Her day-to-day existence had been easy-going with its occasional bits of boring tossed in. And then one evening every smidge of life as she knew it changed for a mere fifty dollars…. Clark Russells is the one who offers up that fifty dollars. He’s on a case for a missing burning bar, also called a magnesium rod, which is an industrial cutting torch that can slice through the walls of a safe in minutes. He follows his suspect into a bar and Clark leaves his colleague—who is Sara’s older brother, to watch the suspect while he tries for the waitress’s attention. |
